Adversarial Camps

  • Recreated the camps in Tuuleuss Mountain. They have been moved slightly, and reduced in size.
  • Added generated camps and control points to the Decayed Fields.
  • Added a number of new camp spawners in the Burned Prairie.
  • Camps and PvP control points can now spawn in the Jianyu Slopes.
  • Introduced adversarial camps, points of intrigue, and PvP control points to the Oota Dabun Peak.
  • Adjustments were made to the camp spawners in Blisoth Fields.
  • Adversarial Camps and Points of Intrigue can now spawn in Embervault.
  • Ash Hounds can now spawn from dens throughout the Mount Ash region.
  • Adjusted the camps in Holden Hill. They are smaller and further from seams.
  • New Mission RE: Winner Registration 1743651: did you get scammed in Winner Registration 1743651? You may have a chance to get your money back. No guarantee, though.
  • Introduced new camp spawners and camp spawn types to Firebend.
  • Made adjustments to the camp spawns in Chilam Pass. They are now more difficult but smaller.
  • Made adjustments to the camp spawners in Aumi Valley. They should be active more often and have a greater variety of camp and point of intrigues than was previously the case.
  • Redid the camps in Lone Tree Prairie. They are now high end but small.
  • Added camps and PvP control points to Degotoga.
  • Introduced camps and points of intrigue to the Savage Steppes.
  • Adjusted the camps in Fana Plains so they are smaller, and further from seams.
  • Added camps to the Barren Dale.
  • Reduced the size of the camps in the Whispering Plains but increased their chances of spawning.
  • Adversarial Camp and Points of Intrigue can now be found high in the mountains above the Frostfire Tundra.
  • Added adversarial camps and points of intrigue to the Weeping Peaks.
  • The camps in Aramoor have been reduced in size.

AI

  • Improvements have been made to Underwater AI.

Audio

  • Reduced the volume of buffing and healing sound effects.

Combat

  • Adjusted the knockback status effect to share the knockdown immunity timer so you cannot be repeatedly knocked back by players or npcs.
  • Knockdown status effect now uses the reflexes resist found on implants.
  • Abilities that consume momentum should not give you momentum for using them.
  • Ranged calculations should now work properly on the client.
  • Stability is now used as a resistance vs. knockdown, instead of reflexes.

Engagements

  • Faolan Hollows: from time to time, a pack of Helltyrs will swarm from the mine; help secure the site and push the helltyrs back to the Deep before too many guards die. The bloodshed may lure two Marauders and a Chieftain into the fray.
  • Faolan Hollows: From time to time, a pack of Helltyrs will attempt to storm Faolan Hollows' southeast gate; help the Vargs keep them at bay!
  • Faolan Hollows: from time to time, two Helltyr Chieftains will charge the southeast gate; repel them before they kill too many of the local guards.
  • Introduced new engagement opportunities in Kaavo Hold which can influence the attitudes of NPCs in the area.
  • Rinji: some marauding RiffRaff will, from time to time, attack Morris' Ranch to kill and harvest the livestock. Players can help the local deputies to fend them off.

GM

  • GMs are no longer hidden from player finder by default, though they can still use /anon to hide if they wish.

Graphics

  • Setlangs now feature glowing eyes.
  • Added new aerosol oriented particle effects.
  • Updated facial information saved to the character for the head to fix a few issues when changing facial features and to include the head changes that were missing from before. This mostly should fix some hair/face issues when switching in/out of helmets.
  • Adjustments were made to snow effects to improve performance and visuals.
  • Added mipmaps to some dynamic detail textures which previously did not have them.
  • Introduced new fisherman platform models.
  • Added many new fitting icons and adjusted fittings to take advantage of them.
  • Added new texture variations of setlang.
  • Optimized fitting icon memory usage.

Hardcore Server

  • Implemented Local Banking code for the hardcore server. Unlike on standard servers where players can use a global banking system, each area has a separate vault in hardcore. You will only be able to retrieve items from vaults in the area that you stored them in.
  • Implemented a withdraw/deposit system for credits to a bank. This will be hidden on the normal server, but will be displayed on the hardcore server so you can deposit credits so they can be safe from looting. At this time there is no reason to deposit credits on the normal server as there is no way to lose them. Credits are currently local to the bank object (so they must be withdraw at the location you deposited them).
  • Implemented Corpsing for the Hardcore Server. It can dump all equipment and inventory or inventory only based on the rules for the zone.

Housing

  • Moved a tree which was taking up part of the Tuuleuss Mountain housing area.
  • Terraformed the Valston housing area as the tough terrain was making it difficult to use much of the plot. If anyone has been negatively affected by the change, please notify a GM.
  • Made adjustments to the housing region in Runa Grove to ensure that it can utilize its full space. Anyone negatively affected by these changes can please contact a GM.
  • Added "/HOUSING MOVENPC" to move a housing NPC to your current position and rotation. This is mostly to move Shop Vendors. You simply target the npc and type the command and it will move to your position. It will also respawn in that position after a zone/world restart.

Items and Fittings

  • Large Okolat Eggs can occasionally be harvested from Okolat. These eggs are organic resources that can be broken down to create Tyrosine.
  • Charged medical fittings which activate an ability have had their charges increased across the board. This was typically an increase from 10 to 20 charges for offensive capabilities, and to 25 for defensive oriented abilities.
  • Added Effectivness values to implants. Same as they are on armor/weapons.
  • Fittings can now have permanent buff effects when equipped. This previously only worked for procs.
  • Back Mounting from Tailoring has had its description and icon updated.
  • Introduced a new version of the Morganstern Wrap, Toughened Morganstern Wrap. This requires Super Heavy Nano-Mesh and 3 Morgernstern thorns, but produces a superior unarmed wrap.
  • Improved the description of Reduced Endurance Cost fittings.
  • Changed all implants to implant repair type.
  • Introduced new fittings for body implants which will allow you to breathe permanently underwater so long as the fitting is implanted.
  • Increased the number of charges on Stun Module fittings from 7 to 10.
  • Embers can now be obtained occasionally from Ash Hounds.
  • Increased the number of charges of Tranquilizing Darts, EMP Overload fittings, and Mind Control Transmitters from 10 to 15.
  • Added a slew of new culinary arts related item icons.
  • Implants are now restricted to a single A Fittings per implant.
  • Introduced five new variations of clothing and armor.
  • Increased the drop rate of diamonds, though they are still very rare.
  • Adjusted Implant Fittings across the board. All 10 point maximums were reduced to 5 points. All non 10 points for normal armor attributes were removed. The 5 "implant" stats now have 10 points if they are assigned to their primary socket. Courage - A, Balance - B, Stability - C, Reflexes- D, Willpower - E. Otherwise, they are a max of 4 points as they are implant applied only.
    Example. Type B Implant now just has Dodge (5 points) and the 5 primary implant stats with Stability being 10 points and Reflexes, Stability, Courage, Willpower at 4.
  • Physical and Energy Resistance was removed from all implants.
  • Electrophorus's description was updated to reflect that it is not considered an edible fish.
  • Upped the drop rate of Crystal Power Cores from robots. Your best bet at them is from bosses, though we have placed them as an ultra rare drop from normal robots, as well.
  • Introduced new Inscription Kits which can be used to alter the name of items or fittings.
  • Type F implants retained 10 point max for durability/reduced condition loss, and balanced durability and condition as it is applied to the implant only.
  • Introduced a new type of knuckle blade, the Chilling Knuckle Blade. This weapon deal Stasis damage and sacrifices a small measure of damage for penetration.
  • Flame Throwers can now be obtained as a mob drop.
  • Night Vision Fittings for helmets have been reintroduced and should now work properly.
  • Introduced new Night Vision Implants.

Minigames

  • You can now fish in the new pond in Aoss Gardens.

Miscellaneous

  • There is now a 15 minute timer if you don't login while in character selection that will cause the client to exit so you cannot just idle there forever.
  • You are no longer able to queue up rolls or dives while in the midst of another roll. Once the first move completes you will be able to perform the second.
  • Added a 125 Bank Slot Upgrade between 100 and 150. It has the old 150's cost, 150 was increased to 500k credits.
  • Optimized network usage between characters.
  • You can no longer jump while rolling or diving.
  • Introduced new pickpocketing loot tables for some specialty NPC types.
  • You can now use /anon to toggle if your character will appear in /playerfinder searches or not.
  • The Newbie chat channel has been renamed to Advice. You can use it by using both /advice or /newbie for those who are already used to the old syntax.

Missions

  • Rinji: new cross area delivery job "Package from Rinji to Banshee's Hollow", available from Spencer Hicks at the Antique shop.
  • Banshee's Hollow: new cross area delivery job, "Package from Banshee's Hollow to Rinji", available from Neegni Jinnd.
  • Added missions to the Burned Prairie.
  • Rinji: new combat mission "RiffRaff Scum"; help the marauding RiffRaff understand that messing with Rinji may have dire consequences.
  • Added mission and one time mission opportunities to the Gelid Pass.
  • If inquired, Shannon Love will tell you about his and Brewen's last mission together.
  • If inquired, Aria Mari will tell you about her and Brewen's last mission together.
  • Added one time missions to Hudson Pass.
  • Introduced new mission opportunities to the Blisoth Fields.
  • If inquired, James Hale will tell you about his and Brewen's last mission together.
  • Scorched Gorge Outpost: new cross area delivery job, "Courier from Scorched Gorge Outpost to Scars Wall", available from Corporal Ditucci.
  • The first three Vet Med Mentor missions (Basic Veterinary, Cure Animals, and Skilled Veterinary) were reworded a bit to bring them in line with the latest version of Mentor quests.
  • Added a new Clear the Minefield mission. This mission is only available to those with moderate Trap Knowledge and can be found at numerous locations throughout the world.
  • Scars Wall: new cross area delivery job, "Courier from Scars Wall to Scorched Gorge Outpost", available from Corporal Panias.
  • Scorched Gorge Outpost: new cross area delivery job, "Courier Run from Scorched Gorge Outpost to Nawala Wilds", available from Corporal Ditucci. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • A fourth mission in the Ved Med Mentor quest chain: "Vet Med Mentor: Encourage Animal". Teach your fellow soldiers to motivate their pets to fight like a Helltyr on melanko; your success, failure or refusal to train the NPC will swing moods & dilemmas accordingly.
  • The "Delivery Run from Bondsteel to Day Break Acres" quest has been reworded to mention that Corporal Caedus can now offer another quest back to Bondsteel.
  • Scars Wall: new cross area delivery job, "Courier from Scars Wall to Banshee's Hollow", available from Corporal Panias.
  • Bondsteel: new cross area delivery job, "Delivery Run from Bondsteel to Nawala Wilds", available from Corporal Mahala Shang. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • Day Break Acres: new cross area delivery job, "Package Delivery from Day Break Acres to Bondsteel", available from Corporal Glayve Caedus. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.

  • New mentor mission "Tracker: Basic Tips": some people wouldn't know how to track their own nose in broad daylight.
  • Added new mission opportunities to Firebend.
  • New mentor mission "Tracker: Heigthened Senses": if you tracking skills are high enough, NPCs may ask you to teach them how to better track hidden foes. Mood & Dilemma will swing depending success, failure or refusal to train them.
  • (New) Honor the Defenders Mission objective text fixes.
  • Day Break Acres: new cross area delivery job, "Package Delivery from Day Break Acres to Nawala Wilds", available from Corporal Glayve Caedus. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • Scars Wall: new cross area delivery job, "Delivery Job from Scars Wall to Bondsteel", available from Corporal Panias. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • New mentor mission "Tracker: Subtle Cues": if you tracking skills are high enough, NPCs may require your mentoring on picking subtle cues that reveal there are hidden foes nearby. Mood & Dilemma will swing depending success, failure or refusal to train them.
  • Added new mission opportunities to the Prutyt Ice Fields. This includes one time missions.
  • Banshee's Hollow: new cross area delivery job, "Delivery Job from Banshee's Hollow to Bondsteel", available from Neegni Jinnd. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • Added basic missions to the Iye Peak, Shackleford, Frostfever Wastes, Grim Flatlands, Hudson Pass, Dead Expanse, Weeping Peaks, Embervault, Kineks, Frostfire Tundra, Sianan Hills, Ivory Barrens, Blight Slope, The Skillet, Shaker Hill, Whispering Plains, the Infernal Wastes, Maple Mires, Wyrmn Grove, Morrow Point, Hakan, Oota Dabun Peak, Farnfoss Ridge, Jianyu Slopes, and Decayed Fields.
  • Scorched Gorge Outpost: new cross area delivery job, "Delivery from Scorched Gorge Outpost to Rinji", available from Corporal Ditucci. Mission has a hidden, bonus goal if proper conditions are met.
  • Added several missions to the Barren Dale.
  • Added long range mission markers to many locations which did not previously support them.
  • Reworded a bit Neegni Jinnd's dialog in the "Courier from Scars Wall to Banshee's Hollow" mission to highlight that now Neegni offers more long-range delivery jobs.

Nations

  • Removed the handle information from nations as it was not being used.
  • Added "/NATION MOVENPC". This can be used to move NPCs and units in player cities.
  • Cleared out a hill which had taken over part of the structure region in the Dead expanse. If anyone has been negatively affected by this change please contact a GM.
  • Units should no longer respawn after being killed. Instead they should be cleared out properly from the city.
  • Added support for boundingbox distance additions for structures so you can melee them and use other close quarter abilities. This has to be done per structure and will be done only on the major ones to start.
  • Pickup and delete mouse commands now work for nation units.

NPCs

  • Shari Todd runs a general store in Rinji. She trades in all kinds of goods, but most people will tell you that what her chief interest is trading gossips and rumors.
  • Some robot types have had their attacked modified to count as Automatic Weapons and thus give Automatic Weapon Defense skill gains.
  • Jabberbulls have been spotted in the Barren Dale.
  • Bruce Gonzalez is another of Rinji's deputies. He's not bad at the job, but he's not exactly the friendliest deputy Rinji has ever had.
  • Guillermina Jacoby is in charge of making sure Faolan Hollows imports all the biomass needed for cloning.
  • Hiedi Kerns comes from Serenity, and deals with the sort of recreational substances Faolan Hollows miners need after a hard day down the Deep.
  • Doyle Wagner, a quiet laborer in Faolan Hollows, is better with tools than with words, like many of that town's dwellers.
  • Tallaroo is a young hunter from the Helltyr Clan, that arrived recently to Faolan Hollows wishing to test his courage Deep down.
  • Small populations of drakes and Malagions can now be found in Istas Valley.
  • Aileen Morey is a Robotics Engineer, and in a way it would be fair to say that she's Rinji's foremost expert in robots... but that's a bit like claiming to be Faolan Hollow's leading expert in fishing. She shares her stall in the Market with Shari.
  • Rinji now has a few Rinji Deputies patrolling the town.
  • Added a Kaavo Hound population to the Gelid Pass.
  • Added a small Phosphori population to the Decayed Fields.
  • A population of Faugea has moved into Hakan.
  • Orlando Burns is Rinji's Major, and makes sure he can always be found at the City Hall. He knows he'll have to compete with somebody from Journey South in the next election, and he's doing his best to win.
  • Karin Schwarz is a Faolan Hollows miner, and a bit of a loner; she prefers to spend her free time with books rather than people.
  • Introduced new Ash Hounds to the Mount Ash region. These are an offshoot from Setlangs which are generally tougher than their protected region cousins.
  • Canelle, an adventurous scientist, is one of the young mnems of Journey South that recently moved to Rinji. Her area of expertise is Ecology, and her main interest and focus is how to produce more and faster.
  • Bernice Morris' farm in Rinji now has domestic T'seef, Hokfigs and Calprates.
  • Spencer Hicks runs Rinji's the Antiques shop. He loves conversations, jokes, and endlessly discussing politics with ChaCha, the Journey's writer.
  • Amado Kelsey owns Linnat Supplies, Faolan Hollows' general store. You'd have to rate him as an intellectual, at least when it comes to Faolan standards: he loves books, and always have quite a few for sale.
  • Calvin Fawler, an Artifact Collector, has set up shop in the Aoss Gardens.
  • Private Leonor Corcoran is Faolan Hollows' demolition expert, and really loves to be as close as possible to where all the *boom* happens.
  • Increased Grimclaw's scale to make it easier to notice that he is a raid boss.
  • Tami Diaz is in charge of Rinji's military supplies, and moonlights as accountant and bookkeeper for the town.
  • Chaunee Suarez does maintenance on most of the robots around Faolans Hollows. Look for Roberto, a really big mech; Chaunee should be next to it.
  • Added Kaavo Hounds and Elkar (at night time) to the Ivory Barrens.
  • Private Sergio Mendoza ia as gung-ho and trigger happy as a soldier can be; any day with restless Helltyr is a good day for him. He is probably near the Faolan Hollows mine entrance.
  • Kaavo Hounds and Calprates populations have been sighted in Blisoth Fields.
  • Helltyrs have been spotted in Embervault.
  • ChaCha is probably discussing politics at Spencer's Antique shop. Depending who you ask, he's one of Journey's finest writers, or the Journey's mastermind of propaganda. And ChaCha probably finds both equally flattering.
  • A very small malagion population has begun to appear in Frostfever Wastes.
  • Roberto, the big mech patrolling the vehicle yard in Faolan Hollows, would be the big robot you're looking for if you are looking for Chaunee Suarez.
  • Private Hank Godfrey usually patrols the Faolan Hollows wall. Scanning for targets, no doubt; usually brunette and voluptuous.
  • Erik owns and run the Many Colored Dice Bar in Rinji. He is Clarence's sibling, and still hasn't forgiven him for losing their home gambling with Sira.
  • Yellow Setlang have been seen recently in the Sianan Hills.
  • Jeffrey Wilson owns Uurtano Weapons in Faolan Hollows. He looks like a labrat, but if it shoots, he can craft or repair it.
  • Elkar can now be found in the Dead Expanse.
  • A number of Arrvor has been seen at the Oota Dabun Peak.
  • Tara Lowe is a trapper, arguable the best in Rinji. She's always happy to be challenged about it, and get into a competition of who brings back the biggest or the most game.
  • Yellow Setlang can now be found in numbers in Shaker Hill.
  • Sue Jin Jee is a tough fighter with a no-nonsense tongue; the sort of person that gets respected by both miners and hunters around Faolan Hollows. If she's not killing Helltyrs in the Deep, she is usually gambling and drinking at the Prancing Helltyr.
  • Clarence McKinney is Erik's sibling. He lost their home gambling with Sira from Journey South. Erik and Clarence still own Rinji's Colored Dice Bar, though.
  • Noraa Meadows works at Uurtano Weapons in Faolan Hollows. She is a damn fine armorsmith, and great partner to Jeff, the weaponsmith; they have been contracted for almost five years now.
  • Introduced new NPC dilemmas and random chatter.
  • Grisel Hyatt, Faolan Hollows vehicle engineer, is as stubborn as the Crazy Kiwi: any engine she wants fixed *will* be fixed.
  • Emory Villasenor owns the Prancing Helltyr bar in Faolan Hollows; dustiest bar on Rhyldan, he says, and proud of it. Lesoo miners from the Helltyr Clan are welcome at Emory's bar; he even has a Lesoo cook, Arooreloo.
  • Populated the Grim Flatlands with Scaed'ecoo by day, and Elkar by night.
  • Gladys Santos is the Colored Dice Bar's hardworking cook. She's a bit of a contradiction: a vegetarian, but her meat dishes are the best this side of Scar's Wall.
  • Dawn Frostglade, Faolan Hollows' Cloning Rep, has a tendency to irk people a bit by being too straightforward. But it would be hard to find a more experienced cloner this side of Bondsteel.
  • Ash Hounds have been spotted in Firebend.
  • Art Salcedo He's in charge of supervising Faolan Hollows mineral production, and reports directly to the Wolf.
  • Arooreloo cooks at the Prancing Helltyr in Faolan Hollows; he is always there. Just in case you haven't met him yet: he's a Lesoo, from the Helltyr Clan. Emory Villasenor hired him to cook for his Lesoo clients, but Arooreloo ain't bad at all at making human dishes, too.
  • Lesoo have begun to sprout up in the Infernal Wastes.
  • Kimberly Barnes owns Alodae Hunting in Rinji, and she's Rinji's Crafting Rep; most people around here will tell you she's quite good at the job.
  • Dr Somer Whiting is a nice person, and a talented doctor, which makes her one of the most likeable persons in Faolan Hollows.
  • Introduced new pistol toting NPC types and spread them to parts of the world through the camp system.
  • Doctor Felipe Holt may not be the best example of discretion, but he surely is a good doctor. And doctors, of any kind, are not so easy to come by in Rinji.
  • Cecil Lowe is a trader from Kaavo Hold, arrived to Faolan Hollows looking for good ore and good prices.
  • Greywolf is probably the toughest miner in Faolan Hollows when it comes to working and fighting; but he may very well be the kindest when it's about mentoring young cubs. If he is not mining down Deep, he is probably drinking at the Prancing Helltyr.
  • Ervin Frazier is on of Rinji's tough trappers. He's Tara's cub, and actually the first one that could put up with Tara's strict mentoring.
  • Chong Christie, a Faolan Hollows' hacker, claims to have hacked into D-BRAC once. But the Wolf would have blacklisted his hacker ass if he had, so he's obviously just bragging.
  • Oorodalaee is the Lesoo version of a cub wrangler, teaching Lesoo newcomers the ins and outs of the Faollan Hollows' Deep. If not deep Down, Oorodalaee should be somewhere around the miners' village.
  • Michael Mackenzie an adventurous lumberjack and is in business with Dargahn, but he sells the extra wood they don't need in the marke
  • Arrvors and Morgenstern can now be found in Farnfoss Ridge.
  • Mildred James is one of Rinji's deputies. She's a bit of a nerd, but that makes her quite the expert on the letter of the law.
  • Lys'andra en'Grendas owns and run the Green Drake bar in Faolan Hollows. Everybody agrees that Lys'andra bar is the cleanest in town; some would claim it's the cleanest bar this side of the Plush Room.
  • Dalaneero, a young lesoo miner from the Helltyr Clan, has been in Faolan Hollows for quite a while; most would bet he isone of those that will stay in Faolan Hollows for good.d.
  • Mia Larsson is both the head of the Kaavo Trade Association (KTA), and the boot in the KTA's butt whenever they let themselves be too self-indulgent.
  • Salvatore Edwards is Rinji's butcher, and sells meat at the Rinji market. Some say he also trades with the Norris Foundation, which is kind of odd considering Burt Norris' himself is a vegetarian...
  • Introduced a new variation of Setlang in Kaavo: Kaavo Hounds. These are tougher than the Setlang in warmer climates and have a bluish color.
  • Added many new NPC outfits.
  • Dennis Bowman is a veterinarian who came to Rinji came from Norris, after he got tired of doing research there, and soon after Berenice and him were contracted.
  • Idella Blythe cooks at Faolan Hollows' Green Drake bar. A very good cook, most would say. She comes from Freedomtown, and is always talking about her sibling there; a Sergeant, or something like that. But she really seems to like Faolan.
  • Cordie Presley is usually in the Workshop near the Faolan Hollows mine. If there is something to know about an ore, she knows it. And she will ll tell you all about it, whether you want to hear or not.
  • Kaavo Hold: Added vulture pet Queenie for vet Cirwyn Draconis and a trio of robots for display in the market stall belonging to robotics engineer Aurora
  • Slightly staggered mob spawns max speed.
  • Arlene McBride, Rinji's friendly lumberjack, has many friends with benefits: if she likes you and you are available then there is much fun to be had.
  • Malagions have recently been seen on the Blight Slope.
  • Bernice Morris, one of Rinji's farmers, became contracted to Dennis after he came here from Norris. Bernice is a tough, hard working woman well known for always keeping her word.
  • A population of Scaed'ecoo has been seen in the Skillet.
  • Optimized NPC data streaming.
  • Sharonda Forbes a trader from Banshee's Hollow. If you ever thought that Banshish people are laid-back bohemians, you should try bargaining with her... She is probably at the Green Drake in Faolan Hollows, closing one deal or another.
  • Pereleele is Cordie's cub. And the only one in Faolan Hollows that seems to be able to put up with Cordie's uninterrupted babble; some wonder if he is actually deaf...
  • Donna Murphy sells weapons at the Rinji Market. She loves guns, and only guns; an expert sniper, but really shy if you try to talk to her about any other topic.
  • A Lost and Found has opened in Kaavo Hold.
  • A small herd of calprates has been seen in the Whispering Plains.
  • Eduardo Allen is another of Rinji's deputies. He's hard working, although some would say he's also a bit of a hard drinker.
  • Ferdinand Stark seems to have played in every bar on Rhyldan. Or at least have visited them all. He performs at the Green Drake in Faolan Hollows.
  • Joaquin Hoskins is a quiet, hardworking miner in Faolan Hollows; the sort of person that only makes promises he knows he can keep.
  • Ash Drakes can now be found in the Weeping Peaks.
  • Claude Reyes, Rinji's grouchy Armorsmith, sells body armor at the Market, and always brags about all the deputies using his products. He's one of Rinji's first settlers; he dislikes change, distrusts newcomers, and if it was up to him all days would be exactly like yesterday...
  • Brian Harris is a bit of a grouchy guy but is in love with Armanda. He has as much grace and tact of a farting jabberbull. He tries really hard to win her heart, though.
  • Jana Hill is Rinji's newest deputy. But she seems to think she has been layered with all the answers...
  • Sergeant Luana Dubois runs the Faolan Hollows' squad; most would tell you she is careful, relentless, and will never send her crew back to the vats if she can avoid it.
  • Miners in Faolan Hollows work hard. Solange Worthy's job is to make certain they play hard, too.

Pets

  • Cu Sith pets are now red rather than the standard greenish coloration for Setlang.
  • Pets should now do a better job of obeying your orders of which target to attack. Previously they would tend to get locked into a goal and ignore your orders to switch targets.

Player vs. Player

  • PvP missions are available in more locations.
  • Introduced a new contested harvester lumber resource to the Grim Flatlands. It can spawn as oudomni, rue, morgun, or maypuri wood.
  • Added a new lumber contested harvester spawner in the Jianyu Slopes. It can spawn Anjara, Cree'it, Takayura, and Jessup.
  • A new contested mineral harvester spawner has been added to the Frostfever Wastes. It can spawn as Cobalt, Galena, Pyrolusite, or Greenockite.
  • Farnfoss Ridge now has a contested mineral resource spawner. It can spawn Bastnasite, Variskeronite, Gadolinite, and Xenotime.
  • Thorium, Copper, or Iron can spawn as part of a new contested harvester resource in Aramoor.
  • Added a contested mineral resource spawner to the Ashen Summit. It can spawn as argentite, nickeline, gold, or palladium.

Points of Intrigue

  • Added a new Point of Intrigue type which spawns a group of archaeologists excavating for artifacts that will despawn in an hour. They will be willing to pay a greater reward for any artifacts that players have in their possession than generic artifact collectors in cities.

Resources

  • Introduced Thorium, Alluvium, and Kupletskite, as well as generated lumber, plant, and mineral resources to the Burned Prairie.
  • Added generated minerals and ore to Istas Valley.
  • Added Sarnium, Copper, Anjara, and Oudomni trees to Woefell.
  • Added Juro, Rue, and Oudomni trees to the Gelid Pass.
  • Added numerous contested harvester resources to various areas. These are documented under the Player vs. Player section. We have tried to spread around the times on these to make some resources available at all times of day.
  • Added generated lumber, ore, and plants to Red Gate Woods.
  • Added generated mineral, lumber, and plant resources to Hakan.
  • Added generated plant and wood resources to Vanth, as well as additional mineral spawners which was the only resource supported by the area previously.

  • Scrounging now only works if you are near a body of water. There is also a limit to how much water you can pull out of the region so you cannot sit there and scrounge for hours on end. All water areas should of been updated in the world. If it is telling you to move on another region will work as it is tied to each region. Water is always available for all players, it is only limited by how much you have pulled out of it recently. Regions further out from starting cities and out in the contested regions have a higher bonus toward quality.
  • Increased the number of plant and lumber generated resource spawners in the Sianan Hills, and introduced lumber resources to the area.
  • Added Cayro, Geflech, and Pechum wood resources to the Ivory Barrens. Also added generated mineral resources to the area.
  • Increased the amount of generated resources in Shaker Hill, and set it up so lumber can spawn as a generated resource there now.
  • Added Monazite, Maeglium, and Tungsten resources to Firebend. In addition to this added generated lumber and mineral resources.
  • Scrounging now requires to be in specific regions of the game world to scrounge for water (near water). There is also limits now in each region so you cannot just sit there an scrounge for hours. Each limit is per region so you can move between different regions to get more water.
  • Added generated lumber and mineral resource spawners to the Tuuleuss Mountain, and increased the number of plant spawners.
  • Generated lumber and mineral resources were added to the Infernal Wastes.

Skills and Abilities

  • Reduced the training point cost of Shockgun Energy Conversion ability enhancements from 50 to 20 points.
  • Pharmaceutical injections or stims will now give a small bonus to duration based on your First Aid skill.
  • Only a Flesh Wound (First Aid) now has a slot for Heal Over Time ability enhancements.
  • Introduced new ability enhancements for Aerosol weapons which will convert the damage of some abilities to deliver cold based damage. These can be purchased from Ability Trainers for training points.
  • The nanofields created by the First Aid nanofield abilities are now stationary on the radius of the effect. It was previously casting on anyone affected and it was difficult to find the center.
  • You may now add ability enhancements to the Searing Blast ability (Aerosol).
  • Updated the client side ability failure messages to provide additional information as to why an ability could not be used.
  • Reduced the effectiveness scaling bonuses in the Cloud ability (Aerosol).
  • Decreased skill gain rate of block, parry, and dodge skills.

Trade Skills

  • A new Melee Weapons Crafting recipes has been added: Hand Wrap Production. This recipe creates 2 varieties of hand wraps for unarmed combat. This recipe can be obtain via the Advanced Melee Weapons Crafting recipe book.
  • Pharmaceuticals has received a new recipe: Envenomed Infuser Production. This recipe creates components necessary for crafting biochemical weapons. This recipe can be found in Advanced Pharmaceuticals.
  • The recipe book Modern Style now contains the Cosmetic Styling recipe, Dark Hair Dye. This recipe will produce 5 dark colored hair dyes.
  • The Organic Breakdown recipe will now accept Large Okolat Eggs as an ingredient. This will produce Tyrosine which has Reflexes as its attribute.
  • Weaponized Power Core in Hacking now produces Shockgun Power Core. This recipe also now has 2 tiers of difficulty; Beam Power Core now requires Normal difficulty to create, as does Shockgun Power Core.
  • Hacking has received a new recipe: Weaponized Power Assembly Upgrade. This recipe produces all varieties of elemental damage Weaponized Power Assemblies. This recipe can be obtained in the Hacker's Reference Manual.
  • Due to the Nutrition System passing on buffs the cooked Creature - Shoulder Steak will no longer be recipe results. Remaining results are as follows: Shoulder Steak, Animal Fat, and Meat Scraps.
  • Hand Wrap Production in Melee Weapons Crafting now produces an upgraded version of the Morgenstern Wrap, the Toughened Morgenstern Wrap. This item is crafted at the newly added Complex difficulty.

  • You can now use the Pharmaceutical Extraction: Fishing (Fishing) recipe to create Omega-3 Oil with Trophy Cod. It will return 5x the results that you get from regular cod.
  • Weaponized Power Assembly in Hacking now creates Shockgun Power Assembly when using a Shockgun Power Core.
  • The recipe book Modern Style now contains the Cosmetic Styling recipe, Light Facial Hair Dye. This recipe will produce 7 light colored facial hair dyes.
  • Redid the minimum cap code for recipe skill gains. It should be easier to pass it at the lower end of the recipe mastery, but added a higher B cap as you get toward the the very end (last 100 points or so if it is a single difficulty recipe).
  • Artillery 101 has received 6 new recipes. These recipes create a Flamethrower (Aerosol Weapon) and it's components.

  • Veterinary Medicine has a new recipe: Basic Pet Stims. This recipe creates 6 varieties of stim for use on tamed or genetically engineered pets. These injectables boost various attributes and increase in length with vet meds skill and increase in strength with item grade.
  • The recipe book Modern Firearms now contains the Firearms Crafting recipe, Shockgun Fabrication. This recipes produces 4 varieties of shockgun.

  • The metalworking recipe Metal Component Fabrication is now called Anchored Mounting Fabrication.
  • The recipe book The Culinary Arts now contains the Culinary recipe, Hot Chocolate. and Coffee Brewing. These recipes will produce 3 beverages: Hot chocolate, Coffee, and Cappuccino.
  • The following Culinary recipes will now pass attributes to their results through the Nutrition system: Malt Extraction, Stuffed Rolls, Meatloaf, and Fruit gelatin.
  • The metalworking recipes Optics Housing and Firearm Component Fabrication have been moved into Firearms Crafting.
  • All edible species of fish now have an attribute assigned to them and will carry the attribute through the Filleting recipe. Trophy versions of fish carry a slightly higher attribute percentage than their normal counterparts.
  • Culinary recipes that have inedible Burnt or Ruined products will no longer product these products.
  • The metalworking books, Basic Metalworking and Advanced Metalworking, have had their recipe lists rebuilt due to the massive skill point spread changes in Metalworking. Advanced Metalworking now contains all recipes with a minimum skill of 300 or greater. Basic Metalworking contains all the rest.
  • Introduced new Culinary Arts recipes, Yano Berry Sauce. This recipes produces a sauce comparable to tomato sauce from the Multi-hued Yano Berry.
  • Many Culinary arts recipes had their skill point spreads changed.
  • Salty Porphyra now has an attribute. This attribute will persist when extracting salt through Special Extraction: Sea Plants.
  • Introduced new Culinary Arts recipes, Ketchup. This recipes produces a condiment comparable to tomato ketchup from the Multi-hued Yano Berry. This should go great with your Hok Dogs.
  • Composite Blade in Melee Weapons Crafting now requires only 3 steps, down from 5.
  • The Melee Weapons Crafting recipe Bladed Weapon Production has been expanded to include an Arduous difficulty tier as well as 17 new physical and elemental damage weapon results including a Chilling Knuckle Blade.
  • The recipe book Chef's Cookbook now contains the Culinary recipe, Divinity. The only thing harder than making this light as a feather confection is not eating it all yourself.
  • Hilt Production in Melee Weapons Crafting no longer requires a Heavy Nanomesh Panel; instead it now needs a Polymer textile.

  • Robotics has received a new recipe: Electrical Augmented Infuser Production. This recipe creates a component necessary for creating high end electromagnetic and energy melee weapons. This recipe can be found on The Roboticist's Guide to World Domination.
  • The recipe book Chef's Cookbook now contains the Culinary recipe, Spaghetti. Using a tomato substitute known as the Multi-hued Yano Berry you'll be able to whip up a batch of spaghetti even an ex-Star will approve of.
  • Bladed Weapon Production in Melee Weapons Crafting now produces 2 new items: Crude Hand Blade and Electrical Knuckle Blade.
  • Chemistry has received a new recipe: Weaponized Biochemical Infuser Production. This recipe creates components necessary for crafting thermal and cold melee weapons. This recipe can be found in Advanced Chemistry.

  • Adjustments were made to vehicle speeds across the board. Cruiser, Cycle, and Racers each had their speeds reduced somewhat, but the most notable changes come to fast and hyper racers. Racers are still faster than cycles in all cases, but the gap has been reduced. Mechs and mounts are unaffected by the changes.

There is a permanent collector of these artifacts in Aoss Gardens, but the best rewards are from new Archeologist NPCs who spawn as part of a new point of intrigue type randomly throughout the world. Archaeologists don't spend too long in a single place, however before moving on to another site.

  • The "Madman on the Loose" mission is now categorized as a Combat mission. It was previously missing a category, which preventing it from being generated if the combat filter was used.

  • Armanda is the comedian among the laborers in Kaavo. She auditions from time to time at the Frozen Ale, and word is that she is not that bad, but still needs quite a bit of practice.
  • Dr Tigiar Eehaor, is a bit of a loner and works in the Medical Center. He was among those that left the FPR with Nycleta Trask and built Kaavo from the ground up.
  • Tryrath is a laborer at Kaavo Hold and well... back in Terra they use to say that all is fair in love and war. There's a war out there, and Tyrath is certainly in love...
  • Isabella Martin is Rinji's tough but fair sheriff. She's always willing to give you a second chance; she'll never give you a third, though.
  • Arakuo works behind the bar at the Frozen Ale in Kaavo. He loves to drink his own merchandise. He says he's proving how good the drinks are. It makes him jolly and entertaining. However waitress Mia isn't happy with the amount of stock he is knocking back.
  • Jens Wiechers is the card up Kaavo's sleeve: prosperous businessman, helpful citizen, and a shrewd politician working for the greater good. He currently serves as Deputy Major, and is to Nycletta what Asana Uscheld is to Darby.
  • Put in Membership perks for the afk disconnect timer.
  • Khalan works the food counter with Butcher Perkins, next door to the Frozen Ale in Kaavo. She can sell snow to a thick-furred rhinoc, and I doubt even the Mutt could get a discount from her. But she keeps her word when she gives it, and all wares are good quality.
  • Mawd Albergannon is an influential part of Fletcher's Trail, although she is not a pleasant person to know, her connections with the Allens of Serenity make her someone that must be dealt with.
  • Drayana helps with the administration that keeps Kaavo Hold running and well let's put it like this: if somebody's nose is found inside somebody else business, chances are the nose belongs to Drayana.
  • Makunde is a cook that firmly believes that the best cold dish on Rhyldan is revenge. And Kaavo is very, very cold, so beware.
  • Lattamoe is a stubborn guy who works as a florist in Kaavo. Every geel has its thorn, he says, just like every Star has its fall. Just as there is a suitable flower for each situation, like proper words for a song.
  • Bank slots are now tied to memberships. The limit is based on the membership. They still need to be purchased in game with credits, but the upper limit is now restricted. You also now have to purchase each increase instead of just choosing the 150 slot one.
  • Ihare, an enthusiastic store clerk, runs the Journey South store in Rinji. He buys and sells everything, and trades with everywhere; he's probably Journey's main source of income.
  • James Hale, a Corporal in the Faolan Hollows' military, is straight as an arrow. Does everything by the book. Not a bad trait for a FPR officer I guess.
  • Dargahn works in construction and is in business with Michael Mackenzie in Kaavo. He is quite good, knows he's quite good, and likes to let you know he knows.
  • Sarah Chiapetta is the REC Representative for Kaavo and can usually be found in the Meeting Hall. Sarah would be the Trader's poster child: she is certain that with fluid enough commerce, war will give way to peace.
  • Sira owns the Journey South building in Rinji. The building used to be Erik and Clarence's home, until Sira won it gambling with Clarence, and afterwards the Journey moved into Rinji.
  • Murtrax Tyx came with Nycleta when Kaavo was built. She's in charge of Kaavo's system's firewalls, which is a bit ironic considering how much ice and snow we have...
  • Limit of Player Shop NPCs is now based on your membership.
  • Corporal Danolimat is usually posted on the Kaavo Watch Tower. If he was a chemical product, Danolimat would be what you mix with vague rumors to produce outlandish worst-case scenarios, or some ludicrous conspiracy.
  • Dynamic Mission Total and timer intervals now based on membership level.
  • Toran is a charming outdoorsman in Kaavo; hunting guide by day, quite a good one. If you care about rumors, by night the sort of guy that gets hired when girls just wanna have fun.
  • Inventory slots are now tied to membership level.
  • Corporal Ripley often takes watch on the sky walkways of Kaavo. Guess you could say she works hard, plays hard, minus the hard part on both counts. And minus the work part, most days.
  • Maximum number of characters per account is now set by the membership.
  • Binu, a lazy musician in Rinji, was one of Tara's cubs, and like all others save Ervin he couldn't put up with her. But he has a talent for music, even though he doesn't have much drive, so he is one of Rinji's entertainers.
  • Sergeant Cara Starcloud; currently posted at Fort Bondsteel. You won't meet a more competitive individual. She will take on anyone anywhere. She will do anything to get where she wants to be.
  • Cirwyn Draconis was here when Kaavo was built, although rumor is that she didn't came with Nycleta's group, but was already in the area. She likes pets and helping people with their pets. She has her own pet vulture Queenie.
  • Auction Posting limit is now controlled by your membership level.
  • LT Aprie is contracted to Previte, although some say her true contract is to honor, duty, and the squad she belongs to. She often watches Kaavo from the platform behind the Workshop.
  • Mist, a kind cub wrangler, recently moved to Rinji as part of Journey South. She is quite willing to train and mentor any cub willing to learn, regardless of political leaning.
  • Aria Mari; she's based in Fletcher's Trail. She is pretty full of herself for an FPR deserter. You can hire her to solve problems now, if you have enough credits that is.
  • Aurora is a robotics engineer with a stall in Kaavo. She... tries to hard and wants so badly to find her soulmate, that she is a magnet for every date scam that exists on Rhyldan.
  • Work Order Posting limit is now controlled by your membership level.
  • Captain Entrei runs the local Kaavo military squad with ruthless efficiency. He's usually in the underground area.
  • Doc Mox and Rigghs are the soul of Kaavo's machinery. Mox is particularly fond of safety checks... but have to give it to her, nothing has blown up thus far, so she must be doing it right!
  • Orland is one of the original settlers, and it could be argued he's the original Kaavo tailor. He has no patience for less skilled colleagues, though. You can find him in the Tailoring Emporium in the north west of the hold.
  • Mocuker, Rinji's idealist FPR cloning rep, is one of the young mnems of Journey South; he got the Cloning Rep job at Rinji mostly because nobody else would take it.
  • Yvonne Simmons is a chatty musician making a living entertaining in the bar out at Izzy's Post in the Wailing Chasm.
  • There's three things Skye Dancer loves: the biting cold, her job as tailor, and mentoring cubs in the art of making clothes. No wonder she left Rinji and came all the way to Kaavo.
  • Variety is not Asturiano's strength, but when it comes to focus, working hard, and settling for nothing save the best quality, he truly has no rival. He's usually found in Kaavo's Workshop.
  • Arafn is a tough minded and one of original settlers, although her area of expertise is farming, not industry. Her goal in life seems to make sure Kaavo can be self-sufficient when food production is concerned.
  • Rhiggs vanBuren is a talented engineer and mechanic. The silly pun in Kaavo is that when a Mech needs rigging, Rhiggs' only rival would be the Crazy Kiwi. Silly, but true: Rhiggs and Doc Mox are the reason all engines in Kaavo run smoothly

User Interface

  • Entirely New Cursor. Hardware cursor is on by default, you can change to Software cursor in the Mouse Settings.

  • Mail and Hint Icon now show after loading into a new area.
  • Removed Hint Pop Ups, when getting a new hint a button appears next to the mail icon with a number for how many hints are unseen, to show the new hint(s) click on the button. (Icon is a Placeholder until we get to GUI art).
  • Hints that a player has already received are now cached locally.
  • The drop down list under the search panel now only displays structures that are found in the city.
  • Right click menu now has the option to make friends.
  • Player Finder has had a number of small fixes, ignore and unignore should work as intended.

World

  • One of the bunker models now has its entrance accessible
  • Amended the Plymouth Control Center City Hall, it's no longer invisible until you are right up next to it. Please note that there are still issues in the area with assets popping in, this will be tended to in the future.
  • New Shaders and Terrain Texturing overhaul process has started. You will see areas with patchy textures (those areas haven't been finished yet.)

Bug Fixes

  • Enhancing nodes works again, and loot goes straight to inventory.
  • Ignoring GM's is no longer possible. (If this is possible, please tell us.)

Backer Perk

  • Due to issues with the Silver/Gold/Platinum Purchased Tiers Inventory amount resetting, we have set all tiers to 75 Inventory Spaces. There are no current plans to drop this amount.
